Casey Johnston, LMFT
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
“When you change your mind, you change your life.” This is a beautiful quote that I heard many years ago and it stuck with me. My name is Casey Ann Johnston and I recently graduated from Mount Mercy University with a master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. I live in Fairfield with my husband and three children. I am excited to start this new adventure in helping others achieve their goals. I look forward to working with all populations and cultures. My passion is helping others learn congruent communication, behavior modification, and understanding themselves. I love learning about the human brain and body, and how the mind-body connection impacts who we are. My theoretical orientation is assessing problematic issues through a systemic lens and working in collaboration with clients by utilizing client’s resources,
strengths, and problem-solving skills. Some special interests of mine include childhood trauma, family conflict, parenting skills, sexual abuse, anxiety, and depression.
Sara Jones, LMHC, NCC
Sara grew up in Van Buren County and returned to the area following graduation from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. Sara comes to R&R with experience working with youth and adults in a variety of residential and non-residential facilities.

She currently is pursuing her clinical experience through R and R Counseling Solutions to obtain her permanent licensure. Before this, she worked in childcare for 14 years. She can work with individuals, couples, or families. Her goals are to be present with you, for you to feel free to express your full range of emotions in a safe, nonjudgmental space. She is here to actively listen to you and support you emotionally in the good and the stressful times. She will help you identify your emotions. She may challenge your thoughts for the purpose of helping you grow; there is more than one way to see a situation. She will collaborate with you on a treatment plan so that you can reach your goals in ways that make the most of your life. She looks forward to meeting you and getting to know you better. Her hobbies are drawing, reading, the great outdoors, traveling, and watching TV show/movies with her family.
